Quote of the day...er...week...umm...hey, look, a quote!!

Tibi gratias agimus quod nihil fumas.

It says "...freedom of...", not "...freedom from...".

Nolite te bastardes carburundorum!

"It's amazing to me how many people think that voting to have the government give poor people money is compassion. Helping poor and suffering people is compassion. Voting for our government to use guns to give money to help poor and suffering people is immoral self-righteous bullying laziness. People need to be fed, medicated, educated, clothed, and sheltered, and if we're compassionate we'll help them, but you get no moral credit for forcing other people to do what you think is right. There is great joy in helping people, but no joy in doing it at gunpoint." - Penn Jillette

For your viewing pleasure...

...especially if you have cats, had cats, know someone who has or had cats, or have ever been in the same hemisphere as a cat. Thanks to Luci for the second one.

If it is possible to wear out YouTube, then my daughters have done it over these two videos. Truly inspired feline commentary.

I used to have cats like that.

One used to RUN out into the hallway of our apartment building, only to lie down immediately outside the door. Why?

Foolery, I can't blame them - these are cute videos, and (for me, anyway) preferable to some of the mindless crud floating around out there.

Magpie - I think they do it because, being cats, they simply must be there first. Wherever there is - they must be first or, or...or I have no idea what will happen, but I am certain it is dire, given their determination.

that cat must be related to my three year old...

I think that cat is the distillate of all feline impishness. He is certainly a reflection of every cat-beast I've ever known, and related in spirit to a number of children, as well!
