They and my cats conspire to deprive me of sleep and sanity on a regular basis. I live in Redneck Central with my kids and cats. I call our home "Casa de Crazy" for a reason. It could be because I'm nuttier than a Claxton fruitcake. I have a foul disposition and the manners of a troll. What's not to love?

Just had to tell you I've been combing your archives for your oatmeal recipe this morning -- found it and MMMMMMMMMM BOY! was it good. We eat a lot of oatmeal, but what a treat that was. I used dried cranberries and diced prunes for fruit. The girls lapped up every bit. Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it! I've been home a week, writing about the event and such. Glad to see the smoke isn't interfering with your Internet, since it's messing with everything else out your way!
Also, just so's ya know, I have all the recipes linked off to the right somewhere...way down near the bottom, I think. Just to save you wading through all the posts, if that's what you did. Helpful, me.
Now that my pitiful self is in tears, I think I must channel part of my other donation money over to www.helpline.com, having known too many people who have chosen to attempt or commit suicide.

I look skyward and send up my thanks on a regular basis that I haven't come the such an extreme as to need them...that I had, and have, my own helpline that has been with me for decades. And I wish my young friend had known about them last month, had called them, and had lived. Any donations I make to them will be in his name, for the sake of other families that shouldn't have to know that hurt.
