Quote of the day...er...week...umm...hey, look, a quote!!

Tibi gratias agimus quod nihil fumas.

It says "...freedom of...", not "...freedom from...".

"It's amazing to me how many people think that voting to have the government give poor people money is compassion. Helping poor and suffering people is compassion. Voting for our government to use guns to give money to help poor and suffering people is immoral self-righteous bullying laziness. People need to be fed, medicated, educated, clothed, and sheltered, and if we're compassionate we'll help them, but you get no moral credit for forcing other people to do what you think is right. There is great joy in helping people, but no joy in doing it at gunpoint." - Penn Jillette

The Natives Are Restless

Every now and then there's a drum circle in Atlanta. I went last June and had a blast. The video doesn't do it justice...some sixty drummers in synch, people dancing and laughing, children and dogs running about...I hope to get to another one soon, maybe bring my drum and the Evil Genius along.

I'm sewing again today, but this time it's for me - I'm working ona quilt I've been piecing together for three years. It's not complicated, I just haven't made the time to work on it. I'm hoping to finish it before the end of October. Don't hold your breath.

Your quilt will be glorious. And now that you've mentioned it, you'll have to share it with us here, in photographs. :)

I will happily show photos of it when it's finished...sometime in 2020.
