Quote of the day...er...week...umm...hey, look, a quote!!

Tibi gratias agimus quod nihil fumas.

It says "...freedom of...", not "...freedom from...".

Nolite te bastardes carburundorum!

"It's amazing to me how many people think that voting to have the government give poor people money is compassion. Helping poor and suffering people is compassion. Voting for our government to use guns to give money to help poor and suffering people is immoral self-righteous bullying laziness. People need to be fed, medicated, educated, clothed, and sheltered, and if we're compassionate we'll help them, but you get no moral credit for forcing other people to do what you think is right. There is great joy in helping people, but no joy in doing it at gunpoint." - Penn Jillette

Lighthearted

Oh, that I had a clockwork heart
That I could wind
When it feels slow
Leaden
Heavy
Return it to a swifter
More joyful rhythm

Oh, that my heart was a balloon
That I could fill with helium
When it is sinking
Low
Deflated
Return it to fullness
More joyful flight

Oh that my heart was a lantern
With a bulb I could change
When it burns out
Dark
Cold
Return to it some brightness
Let it shine

Oh, that I did not have this heart
This heart of stone
Cracked
Damaged
Hard
Grey
Stone

ah but without your hurt what would make you, you?...when the heart is sad, it means loss and this when we learn and grow the most...

much love

Mizz Cinner, thanks - I didn't draw the picture...alas, I can barely draw a stick figure! I wish I knew where it came from so I could give proper credit...

Mizz Satcey, welcome and thanks...and I agree, we learn and grow in this rich ground...
