I decided that I'd fulfill my daily dose of NaBloPoMo with a chunk of my NaNoWriMo. Wow, there's just no way to type those in a hurry, is there?
So, anyway, here's a tiny chunk of the new story. A very tiny chunk. Hey, I'm a mizer, what can I say??

The cloud was a magpie, diving to capture the bright orange opal sun before it could sink down below the horizon, shining prize forever out of reach. His wings swept outwards, great spans of white against soft pink, peach, turquoise, his tail feathers dragging indigo night behind him, ragged edged in his haste to catch the daystar's last light to line his nest.

It was actually written as a description of the sunset I witnessed a few evenings past, but I decidded I could add it to the tale. That's not cheating, is it? Not that I care, because I'm not taking it out...
Quote of the day...er...week...umm...hey, look, a quote!!

Hmmm...cheating? Well, does "a few evenings past" still put it in November? I don't want to set the NaNoWriMo cops on you.
November second, so phlbtphlbtphlbt! :-)
It's not cheating at all. I think it's kind of the point.
