Well...clouds that looked like cream billowing through coffee, anyway. I shot this last night while talking to Someone on the phone:
Oddly, it wasn't raining yet - the night air was lovely and cool. It was raining where he was, though - so I had the storm rolling in overhead juxtaposed with the sound of rain hitting his roof...it was...nice. Oddly nice.
It did rain later, a sudden downrushing of wetness that sounded and rather felt like Nature was letting out a soft sigh of relief.
This is the beginning of a week of predicted rain. I guess it's a good thing I planned on cleaning house and moving furniture all week, huh?
Dance in the rain... don't be afraid, it won't hurt you. Does the wee boy still like puddle-stomping?
ReplyDeleteThat was gorgeous. We rarely get that here in LA.
ReplyDeleteRachel, Sister...I do indeed dance in the rain, and the Evil Genius takes great joy from stopmping puddles. I take great joy in watching him.
ReplyDeleteMizz Suzy, that's because LA is so built up...I think all that concrete and asphalt alter weather patters with their heat reflection and the lack of evaporation from the earth and a few other airy-fairy, probably a little granola and completely unscientific ideas. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
